Service Description
Discover the art of creating beautiful and functional ceramic vases using the versatile slab building technique. In this four-session class, you'll learn the fundamental skills of preparing clay slabs, cutting and shaping forms, scoring and slipping for strong attachments, and refining your surfaces. We'll explore various design possibilities for vases, from geometric to organic, allowing you to create unique pieces that reflect your personal style. To further develop your skills and complete your projects, you'll also receive two open studio passes, allowing you to work independently outside of class hours. No prior ceramics experience is necessary – just a desire to create!

Cancellation Policy
Students who wish to withdraw must do so within two weeks of the class start date to receive a full refund. To withdraw, please email brittanydias@riclayspace.com. Classes include non-transferable Open Studio passes that must be used within the session. Unused passes expire at the end of the session. Exceptions may be made at the studio owner’s discretion. By enrolling, students agree to follow all studio policies—respecting one another, caring for the space, and contributing positively to our ceramic community. RI Clay Space provides adult ceramics classes, and all students must be 18 years or older to enroll. Thank you for your support—we look forward to creating with you!
