Service Description
Learn to sculpt in clay while using the basic skills of hand building. Students will create sculptural forms while learning the techniques of pinch, coil, and slab construction methods. This course will focus on two main sculptural projects that takes students step-by-step while encouraging them to carry out their unique ideas into the clay. Surface embellishment techniques such as additive, and impressed texture will be demonstrated. This course is designed for beginners and will establish a foundation of useful clay building skills. This course includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, use of studio tools and 5 Open Studio passes, giving students extra time outside of class time to practice! Just show up ready for fun learning!

Cancellation Policy
Students who wish to withdraw must do so within two weeks of the class start date to receive a full refund. To withdraw, please email brittanydias@riclayspace.com. Classes include non-transferable Open Studio passes that must be used within the session. Unused passes expire at the end of the session. Exceptions may be made at the studio owner’s discretion. By enrolling, students agree to follow all studio policies—respecting one another, caring for the space, and contributing positively to our ceramic community. RI Clay Space provides adult ceramics classes, and all students must be 18 years or older to enroll. Thank you for your support—we look forward to creating with you!
