Service Description

Want to try ceramics but not sure where to start? Try both hand-building and wheel throwing in this 8 week sample course. Learn the basics of making pottery on the wheel, including centering to forming functional works, trimming and adding handles. Then learn hand-building techniques such as slabs, coils, and pinch pots to create plates, bowls and mugs at the tables. On the last day, students will learn about glazing and finishing their pieces. This course includes 7 Open Studio passes, giving students extra time outside of class time to practice!
