Service Description
Ready to get muddy and learn the fun-damentals of wheel throwing? Take this introductory class to throwing clay on the pottery wheel. You will learn to center your clay, construct vessels by stretching that clay up into walls, and begin to learn the basics of shaping those walls into cups, stretching out to bowls, and adding handles to make a mug! After firing your pieces in the kiln you’ll finish your pots with the glazes of your choice. This 6 weeks course includes clay, use of studio tools, and 5 Open Studio passes, giving students extra time outside of class time to practice! Please note: There is no class on Oct. 6th, so the course will meet for a total of six sessions.

Cancellation Policy
Students who wish to withdraw must do so within two weeks of the class start date to receive a full refund. To withdraw, please email brittanydias@riclayspace.com. Classes include non-transferable Open Studio passes that must be used within the session. Unused passes expire at the end of the session. Exceptions may be made at the studio owner’s discretion. By enrolling, students agree to follow all studio policies—respecting one another, caring for the space, and contributing positively to our ceramic community. RI Clay Space provides adult ceramics classes, and all students must be 18 years or older to enroll. Thank you for your support—we look forward to creating with you!
